In the lobby and one theater, our pals at NOAA's National Marine Sanctuaries, Rogue Shark Lab, Minorities in Aquarium & Zoo Science, Queer Surf, and Greater Farallones Association will host a fun and educational matinee event called OCEAN BEACH AND BEYOND including shark talks by Meghan Holst and Vicky Vasquez on sevengill and deep-water sharks, live Ocean Beach plankton samples projected on the big screen, a film curated by Queer Surf, news on what folks can do to help protect our local NOAA sanctuaries, immersive virtual dives of Cordell Bank in VR headsets from the comfort of the lobby, and a pop-up shark dissection on the sidewalk outside the theater after the presentations.
